Jimmi is an experienced music educator and a graduate of the Musicians Institute Guitar Institute of Technology in Hollywood, CA.

Before establishing his private practice in Larkspur, CA, Jimmi taught at the renowned Blue Bear School of American Music in San Francisco. Following that, he spent fifteen years at the Marin Horizon School in Mill Valley, CA, where he notably launched the "Jam Band" rock ensemble program.

With decades of professional experience in writing, recording, and live performance, Jimmi has distilled his knowledge into a set of manageable steps that result in rapid student progress.

A Personalized and Engaging Approach

Jimmi makes learning fun and immediate by inviting students to bring their favorite songs to their lessons. Depending on the complexity, he can often teach students to sing and play a favorite tune from start to finish within a remarkably short time.

His program also features regular recitals. These events provide a safe and celebratory atmosphere for students to share their music with family and friends, demonstrate their new skills, and gain confidence further motivating regular practice.
